I am testing my first Amino H200 Player and mostly everything works fine (after I understood that I had to turn off SurfaceView rendering and use R408).
But I have a problem with audio playback. The video/audio file is H.264/AAC 48k which should be supported and everything plays fine on a windows player, I get audio via HDMI. But the H200 remains silent even though there is no error in the logs.
Does anybody know what I have to do to get the audio working? Volume is up on the H200
It should not be necessary to turn off SurfaceView rendering, and the Amino H200 should also be compatible with the latest Xibo for Android player R411. Are you experiencing any issues with either of these?
Regarding the audio problem that you are having, please would it be possible for you to provide me with a copy of the Layout that you are experiencing the issue with? Or a copy of the video if you are scheduling it directly.
You can export layouts from the Layouts page of the CMS by clicking on the Row Menu for the Layout, then click on Export.

Many thanks for your fast response. Yes, I had problems with my video playback. The video began to get stuck after a few repetitions and after a whole weekend the screen of my demo setup was simply black and not showing anything - I had to reboot the box. Additionally, I had few moments where the box restarted randomly by itself after the video got stuck.
With SurfaceView disabled, my playlist is running constantly for the last few days without any problems. Today I changed back to R411 and did not notice any problems, but that said with SurfaceView still being disabled.
Hi @tec_vbn , I’ve tested your layout on my Amino H200W running firmware version 25.8.2620.10R and Xibo for Android R411 and the audio plays as normal there.
Do other apps on your H200 also have no sound?
If so, please would it be possible for you to try testing the device on a different display using a known good HDMI cable?
If the issue persists, are you able to try factory resetting the H200?
I’ll continue running your layout on my H200W with SurfaceView enabled to see if I can replicate the issue where the videos get stuck.
Ok, many thanks! I got some first things to think about: firmware version on mine is 25.6.2420.10R, although the device is new. I have to find out where to get new firmware and how to update it, as I am not allowed to use the orchestration service from Amino - don’t ask, security policy inhouse.
@Frazer IT LOOKS GOOD! After offline updating the firmware SurfaceView seems to work and I have audio!
Sorry that I did not take a look for a firmware update before, but I would have never expected, that a new device has a firmware version from Sept. 2024. and that that would have such a decent impact.
