Thanks to everyone for there comments and work on this issue. I’m experiencing the same issues, on Intel Compute sticks running w8.1 with the 1.7.8 client. I’ve followed your instructions ckelly, and set privacy and nightly reboot to see if that fixes the issue on two of the 12 devices i have in production. The watchdog is a great idea! expect when the out of mem issue arises. The compute sticks have 2gig of ram, the free ram when launch xibo is around 800 - 1200mb. After several hours it gets down to about 300mb free and crashes generally below 200mb. Content wise i’m running, mp4 (h264), png’s jpgs, and a bunch of websites, such as weather, snow report etc. I will try without the website in the mix if it keeps crashing. Ran 1.6.4 on android for 2 years without a gigdy booh - but only images.
Ok this was definitely a case of the websites that were loading cause the xibo client to crash. Came to work this morning and its 10am, my ckelly nightly reboot was 10pm last night and windows 8.1 still has 1200mb of available memory and all sticks showing content fine. I’m now going to add the websites back one at a time (per day) until i figure out which one did it! Cheers
