Xibo Splash screen issue

Hi all,

I am not an experienced individual with Xibo but I know some basics of scheduling content and media management for digital displays.

I have recently started to encounter an issue for the Xibo Players which is the following.

1. I would upload a content for a specific display.
2. It would then display the content
3. Shortly After it would display the Xibo Splashscreen for a couple of seconds then play the content again.

Can anyone help with this?

Xibo splash screen as in the default layout ? Or when the player first starts up and has a xibo in the bottom right kinda thing… if it’s the former, check to see if you have interleave default content enabled , if it’s the latter it sounds like the player is quitting and restarting possibly?

Hi Jon, thanks for the reaponse to aswer in more detail:

On the Layouts I have added the Local Video widget. Xibo Splashscreen is not currently in the Default Layout

So I schedule the display with the default layout, upload the media then schedule the content on the specific display.

Not long after my scheduled media shows up on the screen. After aboht 5 minutes the video cuts foe a second and shows the Xibo Logo for about 5 seconds.

Im not sure where I can find the Interleave feature. Im very new to the system.

Id put your logging mode to info, play your stuff as is then take a look. Usually the splash screen shows when the player first starts only. I’ve never experienced where the splash screen is shown with the exception of when the player crashes. It’s possible that your memory use was too high and android killed the process. If your xibo is set as the default launcher / home app that would explain why you see the splash screen. The interleave setting is in the display settings, but I think you’re right you’re o ly seeing the splash acreen. The splash screen kind of pulses every 10 seconds. Either way the logs will have the answer .
