Hello,

My layout only have a webpage component with a link to show on player. this link is a react page that lods media elements (images and webm videos) from a backen.
Now i installed a player on a ubuntu pc with last version of ubuntu but player dos not show any content.
Can someone please help me?

Note: it works on windows player.

Another one bites the dust:

sorry i did not understood what you answer means,
yes my xibo is snap,
sorry maybe i do not understand linux very well

This “Snap” player is not supported for past 2 years.

Its called: Abandonware

If you want to know more join beta testers for info on new linux player.

BR

how can i join beta testers?

check for group beta-testers under developer expirience on forum and apply.

thanks, but there is some beta linux player who solve this problem?

If you are running single webpage, why not run it in directly in browser ?

because i prefer the stability of a player and a central xibo management

Ok, as mentioned before, beta-tester group is here:

good luck

Xibo Player on Ubuntu may not display media elements in the Webpage component due to limited browser support or missing dependencies.

Has anyone had issues with the Xibo Player on Ubuntu not displaying media elements within a Webpage component? Everything else seems fine, but embedded videos/images don’t load. Any suggestions?

Xibo Snap player is abandonware:

Some user reported for Xibo Snap player to try change to X11 instead of Wayland.
Also there is Xibo Snap player backend rendering engine problems being reported.

There is Arexibo, unofficial player here:

Yes, this can happen if required browser dependencies or codecs are missing try installing chromium-codecs or switching the embedded browser engine in Xibo settings.
