Xibo Player closes after a few hours

Xibo Player closes on my client PCs after a few hours every day. The schedule is set up 07:00 - 22:00 repeating daily.

I have tried using a scheduled task to close and reopen Xibo Player every morning. But this still only displays for a few hours and then closes.

Any ideas?

What kind of PC is it?

Any particular error/message comes with the crash? (if not and if it’s crashing then Windows Event Viewer should have something)

Has anything changed in the layout/ on the PC recently?

Any 3rd party software that may interfere?

Hi, Version 1.7.1 on the clients. Although i’m testing one on 1.7.5 now.

Windows 7 & 8 PCs.

No crashes or errors, it just closes. Nothing changed on the layout apart from a couple of new videos, but this happily cycles through the timeline and starts again many times.

No 3rd party interference that i can see.

What is the upgrade procedure for the CMS? Might give that a try too.

It’s stated there too, but we can’t stress this enough, please remember about backups :wink:

That’s odd, so it just closes without any error, perhaps some kind of memory issue, although I’d imagine that should return some errors.
For now please try to upgrade to 1.7.5 both CMS/player and see if that will help solve this issue.
