Honestly, I had a vague sense that quite a lot wasn’t working and if i could troubleshoot one simple thing first, it might help me solve other things. I focused on the flip-clock as there’s not as much space for user error as the other modules and it fundamentally isn’t loading for me.
Part of my issue is that I’ve been using Xibo for many years, so i’m bringing the baggage of an existing layout, which to be fair, might not work for many different reasons outside the scope of Xibo community support.
In my initial attempts, the following aren’t working for me:
- Flip Clock (as discussed. reported here: Flip Clock not working in 4.1.2 - Xibo Community
- Weather not working (I think that this is coincidence as the weather provider seems to have discontinued the free version and now requires credit card registration). Hard to know.
- iCal not working - This was loading a 365 calendar. The calendar works fine on my 3.3.7 deployment. Nothing visible, no obvious errors.
- Embedded HTML not working. I was embedding a youtube channel. Again, works fine on 3.3.7.
In an attempt to avoid the chaos of multiple things, i focused on the first thing on my layout (and list) which was the Flip Clock and posted the report above.
