Video Playlist not playing – only Power BI layout shown on screen

I have a display group named A using a windows player
Currently, I’ve scheduled:

  1. Power BI layout (powerbi)
  • Event Type: Layout
  • Priority: 2
  • Scheduled from 2025-05-07 09:00 to 2025-05-09 18:00
  • Dayparting: Custom, full-day
  1. Video Playlist (1:29 min video)
  • Event Type: Playlist
  • Priority: 1
  • Scheduled to start at 09:00 , end at 09:01:29
  • Repeats every 15 minutes until 2025-05-09 18:00
  • Playlist is assigned correctly and media is downloaded.
    The intention is for the video to interrupt the Power BI layout every 15 minutes, play for 1:29, and return to Power BI.
    Issue:
    The Power BI layout displays as expected. However, when the video playlist is supposed to play, the screen briefly blinks/flashes and returns to the Power BI layout. The video never actually plays.
    Question:
    1.Is there a compatibility issue with webOS and playlists interrupting a layout?
    2.Could this be due to media encoding, layout transition, or event priority handling?
    3.What further steps can I take to troubleshoot or resolve this issue?

Hi @Pongsan_Boonchaiyutt , the Video Playlist won’t ever play currently because the Power BI layout has a higher priority of 2 compared to 1 for the Video Playlist.

I would recommend setting the Video Playlist to have a priority of 2 and the Power BI layout a priority of 1 and then they should play as you expect.
