Using retire function

What is the difference between delete and retire? Can I retrieve layout that is retired or how to use it again ?

Retired layouts remain in the system and will still be shown if included in the schedule.

You can view retired layouts by going to the Layout page and changing the filter to include them.

If you delete a layout then it’s gone from the CMS forever.

thanks alex, well can we see retired layout in layouts list again without using the filter ? or can we see only in filter ?

also why is there function ? why do we want to remain If we can delete a layout ?

You can only see them with the filter set to show retired layouts.

You might want to retire a layout because you aren’t intending to use it again, but it’s scheduled for a future date.
