Upgrading CMS from 1.8.3 to 1.8.7

Dear Xibo Staff,

I’ve got 3 questions… please.

  1. If I upgrade our CMS1.8.3 to the last version (1.8.7), will the players (1.8.3) work correctly?
  2. Where I can find a guide to upgrade the server? Or It’s just overwriting the old files?
  3. I think that a “expiration date” of a layout (or a media file), could be really useful. An auto-retire date, so you don’t need to edit playing campaigns. Will be added something similar in the future?

1 Yes, actually there is no newer windows player version, 1.8.3 is the current player version.

thanks so much for help. Now the CMS is upgrading, I’m waiting for it (it’s not showing up at his url, but in the guide is written about this delay, so I’m ok) :crazy_face:

I’m really looking for that option, cause the way I’m using XIBO will make it really easy.
If we have a 3-days party, it would be cool if the layout in the campaign, related to that party, will expire automatically in 3 days, without editing the campaign or retiring the layout. Set it and forget it!
