Upgrading CK Editor 4.3 to 4.4 for CMS 1.7.3

Hi,

How to upgrade CK Editor 4.3 to 4.4 or latest for CMS 1.7.3. CKEditor 4.4 has some features that I require.

Is it just a matter of replacing 4.3 files with 4.4 in the theme\default\libraries\ckeditor folder or there is more to it. Pls guide.

Hi,

Well, that really depends on the changes in CKEditor, we’ve been through a few upgrades in the past and sometimes they needed changes to Xibo JavaScript and sometimes they did not.
So you can try it, but keep the files from the previous version as a backup in case it wouldn’t work.

Ok. I was able to successfully upgrade to CK Editor 4.5.2 Everything works fine up till now just one problem though. The background color in the editor remain the default white. It does not change as per the (user’s chosen) layout background color.

What needs to be done to make that work ?
