I’m reaching out for some guidance and assistance regarding an upgrade I’m attempting to perform for a client. I’ve recently acquired a new client who is currently running XIBO 1.7.7 with an older XAMPP setup. My aim is to upgrade the XIBO installation to version 4.0, but it seems that a direct upgrade isn’t possible. I’ve been instructed to follow these intermediate steps in upgrading:
- Upgrade from 1.7.7 to 1.8.6
- Then from 1.8.6 to 1.8.13
- Finally, from 1.8.13 to 2.3.16
(The files newer 2.3.16 i found in Downloads on XIBO)
However, I’m encountering difficulties locating the old sources necessary for these incremental upgrades. It appears that they are no longer available. Does anyone have suggestions or alternatives for upgrading to version 4.0 while retaining the content?
Here are some additional details:
- The new system is running XAMPP with PHP 8.2 and MySQL.
- I’ve already backed up the database from the 1.7.7 XIBO installation along with all the libraries.
