Issue

Just updated the Xibo Player for Windows from 2.0.2 to 2.5.5 and the player will no linger load. The error below is in the xml log

2020-10-01 13:30:20MainUnhandled Exception: Could not load file or assembly ‘System.Runtime.CompilerServices.Unsafe, Version=4.0.4.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Any pointers?

Can you please check the version of DotNet you have installed on the client.
you should update to 4.6.2 for example.

Hi,

Problem fixed by completely uninstalling and re-installing the client.

@masterbug, Win10 1909 comes with .NET4.8. Thanks for the reply.
