Twitter module - recent tweets - define how recent?

Issue

I have a layout pulling tweets from a twitter page, it’s not inactive but it’s not particularly busy, about one tweet every 3 days.
If I set to Recent tweets, my guess is it goes back maybe 7 days, so it only pulls two tweets to display. On the one hand this is quite good as the content stays relevant, but is it possible to extend this to account for quieter accounts? There doesn’t seem to be any option in the module settings.

Twitter defines what is recent not us I am afraid, and they do not define what that is publicly. We show the information that Twitter’s API gives us.
