Transparency in Linux Player

Hello everyone,

We’re looking for an update on the state of transparency in two Xibo features when used on the new Linux player…

  1. Does the Linux player support transparency with overlay layouts? The manpage says that Windows does not, and names other that do without mentioning Linux.
  2. Do any of the modern players support video transparency via embedded alpha? The most recent info on this I found was from 2015 so I’d love an update. Assuming not, do any of the players work with transparent animated GIFs?
