Sub-Playlists: Difference between Pad and Fill

I’m playing a little bit with sub-playlists and also try to improve German translation of Xibo. But at this specific point I’m not understanding what Xibo does.

When I add a playlist to a subplaylist element I have three options:
Repeat - repeat the Widgets in this Playlist until the number of Spots have been filled
Fill - use the first Playlist to fill any remaining Spots
Pad - use the first Playlist to pad any remaining Spots

What is the difference between second and third? When I try to translate it to German I end up with “Auffüllen” both times.

Hi, welcome to the Community.

Fill will take content to fill remaining spots (if your Playlist had 5 items but 7 spots it would take two items to fill the remaining spots)

Pad will distribute content evenly with items already contained on the selected Playlist. This can be useful to show media from a Playlist at specified intervals with another Playlist. We have a guide which explains that further here.
