Issue

Is there any option to share screen to Xibo? E.g. Share screen to a link that then could be embedded in a layout and that it would potentially stream/share audio too?
95% of the time I have a need to share static content and that is all good, but 5% of the time I have a need to share a live event - usually like a “town hall” event that is zoom/teams event - but since it’s not public I can’t embed it directly. Idea is that I somehow share video from a computer to a link that then can be shared. Is there any app that can be installed on Windows that once you hit “Go Live” would stream audio/video to a broadcast link that then can be embedded on a Xibo Layout?

In theory you could do this but you would need to set up a live stream that is supported with your Windows player. Xibo for Windows supports HLS streaming, so if you could create a live HLS stream, you could add the stream link to the HLS widget and schedule that to your display.

if you do decide to try a HLS stream, this online test player is a good way to troubleshoot any issues with the stream.
