I want to set up a Google Shared Drive where people can add pictures. Every time the screen comes around I want to show a random picture from this Google Shared Drive folder. Is this possible and if so how?
Someone at Xibo might correct me, but I’m pretty sure it’s only possible with a lot of custom programming. Using the Google Drive API you could write something in Javascript that would do that and have it stored and executed in the player itself. Or, you could put the customization into a separately served webpage and have the URL loaded in the player.
So, can it be done natively out of the box? No. Getting your hand dirty with coding? Yes.
Thank you for your reply. I can’t program so that is not an option. Didn’t think it was possible.
