hello
please I want to use the xibo server for several screen
and I want to install the xibo player in smart tv only , if possible ??
or other solution . for to not have a computer for each screen
thank you for helping me .
To use Xibo for Windows - you need well Windows OS on your PC/laptop etc.
To use Xibo for Android - you need well Android OS on your device.
As for the smart tv, if they don’t run on Android then sorry but it will not work.
okay thanks
but there is another solution to not install a PC for each display ??
note :" i use xibo for windows "
It is kind of possible, but not if you want to display unique content on each screen.
You could use a HDMI replicator to have identical content on multiple screens, driven from 1 PC.
But If you want unique content on each screen, you will need a PC for each display.
ok , thank you very much Peter
another question a PC can connect by how much screen via HDMI ?
Well that depends on what splitter you’d want to use and how much your PC can take.
There are various HDMI splitters available 1input2output, 1input4output etc.
Also please remember that it’d be connected to 1 PC so make sure that your PC can handle it.
sorry I did not understand, I cant connect my “SIMPLE” PC with the 4 Screens via HDMI splitters 1 input 4 output ?
HDMI splitters have 1-2 input (from pc) and 2-4 output (to monitors) maybe even more.
HDMI switch is kind of reversed 1 output many inputs.
In your case you’ll want to use HDMI splitter.
not necessarily HDMI
VGA port has the same effect ?
I think my pc has only VGA
Yea I think it should also work, VGA splitters are similar to hdmi splitters.
Although in both cases please make sure that your GPU supports it (splitting graphics output)
and how we could know that " GPU supports it " ?
sorry peter I bother you , but I think this is the last Question
It’s really hard to specify what graphic card/OS you need.
The hardware you need to buy is beyond the advice we are able to give you (if you want to use vga/hdmi replication).
The entire output of the PC would be replicated, including the desktop, etc which obviously means that the GPU will be under much bigger load than normal.
You can try it with your setup or buy new one, but we can’t really recommend anything in this case.
okay, thank you peter
