Not sure if this is a bug, or maybe i could enable somewhere this feature? but it is so annoying that there is no choose a replacement for already uploaded files…

Yes, there is a replace place in layout editor, but in playlist editor only replace button for new files, which is somewhat inconsistent, the same replace field should appear on any media image/video/audio properties when you drag and drop into playlist editor window so it would be consistent and user friendly
The Image Replace functions in the Layout Editor and Playlist are not the same intentionally. Replacing an Image from the Layout Editor you are selecting an alternative image to replace what you already have sized and positioned on your canvas so you don’t have to make any adjustments. The original Image file is not overwritten by the replacement from here and will remain in your Library. The Image Replace function for a Playlist is replacing the Media file completely (as saved to the CMS Media Library), not just for that Playlist.
If you need to replace an item on the Playlist with an Image already uploaded to your Library you would just add the new file from your Image Library on the Toolbox to the same point on the Timeline as the Image you want Replace and the delete the Image you no longer need from the Timeline.
