Possibilities to view the display's content remotely

Introduction

Would be nice if we have any options to view the content of the running displays remotely without accessing them.

User Story

We want to check the Xibo signage display’s content remotely without using teamviewer connection or any generic connection tools. Because using these tools make the user to make
changes to the display settings.
So,Would be nice, for example, just open any url link
to that particular display to just view the content without having access to the whole display and the CMS. Like click the link and watching the TV.

What about the screenshots? In the CMS, navigate to “Displays”. Click on “Column visibility” ans select “Thumbnail”. Than you will see the last screenshot of the player. In the display profile, you can configure screenshot size and the interval. Thats how we monitor the content on the displays.

Hi Chrstian,
Thanks for your suggestion… we are also checking in that way only. but we are looking for this to use with the end users who don’t have any access to the CMS but having only the link to watch them.

This is something we do not plan to put into the CMS.

You could explore Webkey as an alternative to TeamViewer which can be used with Android devices. Further information is available at the bottom of the Xibo for Android page. You can also get 5% off of your subscription by entering the referral key XIBO5

I appreciate that both options would still give you full remote access but thought it might be useful to mention so you could possibly explore your needs further with Webkey direct?

Hi Natasha,
Thanks for the reply and info.
Currently We are using TeamViewer and also we will try to explore with WebKey .
