Philips TV Android default home application not working

I made a question about this some time ago, but the thread has been locked and thus I have to create a new one (Old: Android default home application resets randomly ).

For some reason I’m unable to set default home app with our Philips TVs and it causes the player to get stuck, while booting up, into the screen where it asks which app it should use as the home app. Has there been any new solutions I could try to eliminate this problem? As far as I know it would be enough if I could disable the check altogether, since Xibo starts itself in any case after the TV is on, is this possible?

When you open the ticket, please also make sure to include the following information:

  • The full model number of your Philips TV.
  • The firmware version running on that TV.
  • The version of Android installed.
