No provision for "I forgot my password" at CMS login?

If a user has forgotten their CMS login password, is there a self-service function for getting a new one?

Has anyone ever worked on this? I’d like to entertain the idea of implementing this but I’d like to know if anyone has already done the work and would like to share?
