Ok, try truncating the log, but it does sound like the maintenance script is not running correctly.

Also tried that, log seems to appear again

Permissions issue?? Are the running the maintenance script from the browser or using cron?
You might try running it from the command line and scheduling it in cron.
Dear all,
I’m quite new to Xibo (we are running it from some months now) and only today I discovered the maintenance script!
So I tried to setup the script as per instructions, but when calling it from command line (Debian 7 server) with
/usr/bin/php /var/www/xibo/maintenance.php secret
it seems not doing anything. I try to explain better:
I have run the command in that way for the first time ever in my installation, and it did exit immediately. I thought it was strange, as surely it should…
Thank you, will look into Cron. It has reduced to 155mb now, what is the standard sort of size,
Nice.
There is not really a standard size. The size of the database will vary with number of displays, number of layouts, datasets, data collection intervals, frequency of the maintenance script being ran and more. But the biggest factors are your log collection settings and how often the maintenance script is ran.
