i think if you can add support of moving gifs or videos as background of layouts it can be very usefull.

You can do this already with Android and webOS Players.
Simply create a full screen region, and put your background video in that. Then create your other regions on top, ensuring you set a higher z-index on the regions that should be on top of the background.
