Is it possible to embed a VLC player or a python player

I have been trying to do research about playing a UDP stream on xibo 1.6 ubuntu.

I have tried that:

  1. using a browser VLC-plugin but the there is a small window popped up.
  2. Using a shell command to call VLC directly, but the client called VLC played every one second.

I have been thinking that is there any solution that can do a UDP stream via xibo 1.6 like building a new module for python player to handle a UDP stream?

Is there any solution?
