Html not updating

I am using CMS Version 1.7.9 with the same version player.

I have a timeline which has an html link http://mywebsite.com.au/picture.jpg in the URL feed and it will display the content but this picture updates every 20 minutes on the website but it doesn’t update on the player.

I read on these forums that it was better to use Embedded so have tried to use this function but when I click on save a cog appears and it does nothing. If I click save again an second cog appears. If I click anymore times the CMS crashes and I have to wait an hour for it to restart.

Any suggestions what I am doing wrong or why the save doesn’t work for me? I don’t change anything else in the Embedded window.

Regarding webpage update, what duration does the webpage item has?
Also there is a setting in IE options that you will want to check, it was discussed here - Webpage updating issue

As for embed html module issue, how did you try to embed it?
In a simple iframe? technically it will be pretty much the same as running it in webpage module

Hi Peter,

The website will update every 20 minutes with a new picture. I have made
the changes on the Players IE and this has not fixed the issue.

I will get back to you on the Embedded details I have just been very busy
today.

Think before you print.

As far as I recall it should obey IE settings, so everytime the region with webpage/embedded reloads it should not use cache, but it should access the page and show updated version of it.

It should be necessary, but perhaps double check that browser emulation keys are where they should be - Enabling HTML5 in the Windows .net Player
