Issue

If I create a new layout and add a playlist, the “loop” box doesn’t appear anywhere. I just want the playlist to start over once it gets to the end. In the online manual it shows a loop checkbox that should make the playlist loop. I have been unable to find a solution.

Is there something I am missing, it seems like a pretty simple thing but I have been struggling with it.

The loop option is primarily designed for playlists containing just one widget, like an RSS ticker, which needs frequent updates.

Since you’re trying to loop a playlist with multiple fixed items (videos/images), you don’t actually need to use the loop option.

To loop your media items:

  1. Create your layout with the playlist module
  2. Add this layout to a Schedule.
  3. Include your display(s) in this schedule.

By doing this, your layout will continuously repeat, effectively creating a loop of your videos and photos on the display.
