We have hundreds of templates, media objects, displays, layouts, etc that we use frequently. Many times one person is creating the content while another needs to be able to control it. For this, we rely on the permissions system to grant view access to those layouts and displays. However, there is no way to bulk manage permissions. If I need to add or delete permissions for 10-20 objects, I’m doing it manually and it takes forever.
This doesn’t sound too difficult to implement, you already have a ‘Select All’ and ‘With Selected’ at the bottom of almost every web page, I think this would be an absolute perfect place to add bulk permissions management. It could be the exact same permissions window as used when selecting an individual object, but would over-write all permissions with the specified ones for any objects selected in the specified section (displays, layouts, etc).
