Currently, Xibo CMS identifies users by text name only. In collaborative environments with multiple administrators and content creators, the lack of an avatar or photo makes the interface feel less personal and hinders quick visual identification in key areas (e.g., when checking Layout authorship, approvals, or audit logs).
The Solution: Implement the option to add a profile picture, with the following features:
- Local upload: Allow users to upload their own photo (JPEG/PNG) in the CMS account settings.
- Integration (Optional): Automatic support for avatar services like Gravatar, linking the photo via the user’s email address.
- Global display: Show the photo thumbnail in the corner of the UI (session menu) and next to the name in sharing lists, permissions, and edit history.
