Failed to initialize OpenGL with Gtk

Hi, guys!
I have Xibo PLayer on Ubuntu 18.04.4

Layouts with picture work fine.
Layouts with video (mp4) not showing (black screen)

I see an error in the terminal:

I tried stable, edge, beta… not work

A user has reported that they had some luck using the edge channel to fix this issue.

Please, if possible, can a note be added to the referenced community post that the quick and simple fix is to use --channel=edge when installing a Linux client. Pretty much every other combination of desktop environments, players, x11 vs Wayland is fun, but fruitless. A default install of Linux and installing the player with the edge channel works.
