When I am trying to install the windows player on windows 7 I get the following error:
There is a problem with this windows installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run.Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
Notes:
I have .NET Framework 4 Client Profile & .NET Framework 4 Extended
I have Sanboxi, when I try to install it via sandboxi it works, but then crash when I try to run the application.

I have to admit that this is really strange behaviour, we are not aware of any known issue with Xibo for Windows installer.
As ‘brutal’ as it may sound you can try to reinstall/repair .net frameworks, vcr or even reinstall the system, because as it is right know we don’t know what may have caused your issue.
You can also try to install it on another device if you have an option to do that and see if your issue with installer occurs only on one device or not.
As a workaround for now you can also install it via Sandboxi and then manually copy the files out. Installer itself is doing mostly exactly this plus registry entries which you can also do manually for ie/powerpoint etc.
I would really like to help you more, but right now we aren’t sure what might have caused this issue.

No worries, the system has lots of application and framework installed on it. Maybe its time for me to do a fresh install!
