It would be great if one could add shadows and frames and maybe other design features to Widgets.
For example I want to show PDF files in layouts. To better set it apart from the background I would like to have shadow and / or frames for the widgets.
Could be like in Libre Office, but with less options:

Our v4 release (latest release being 4.0.4) includes global elements which allow you to add shapes/define colour and width of outline which would give you a ‘frame’ to place your selected Widgets in:
I agree that having the ability to have shading would be a great enhancement to shapes and will certainly raise this for consideration for a future release with the team
