Deny permission to view dataset columns

In my office we use the datasets all the time and the data is entered by coworkers.

But sometimes someone edits the column-names with a non-functional layout as a result.

I would like to have the ability to revoke the permission to view/edit the dataset columns for certain user(groups).

Can it be done or would this be a feature request?

As it is, when you assign view/edit permission to a dataset, user will be able to enter and edit both actual data (rows) and column (existing ones and add new ones).

In short, that would need to be feature request, although it might not be as easy as it seems.
