Default column visibility for users

Introduction

Content managers in my Xibo CMS environment are often overwhelmed with the amount of information in the media and display pages. Only displaying what is relevant to them seems to help a lot, however this requires changing the column visibility on every account.

Feature Request

I would like to request a feature that allows administrators to define default column visibility settings based on the user groups.

  1. Introduce a new configuration setting for user groups that enables administrators to define the default set of visible columns.

  2. When a user is assigned to more than one group, combine the default column settings from all groups to determine the columns visible to that user.

  3. If a group’s configuration is modified or a user is assigned to a new group, the user’s visible columns must refresh to reflect the updated settings, unless the user has manually customized their own column visibility.

  4. When a user modifies their column configuration, allow them to reset it so that it automatically reflects the default columns defined by their groups.

  5. Include a button for administrators to reset the default columns for specific or all users
