Clock displaying Chinese am/pm using Android Cllient

I am using the Android client (Version:1.7 Code Version:61) on an Amazon Fire Stick. When displaying the clock time it is displaying am/pm in Chinese. On the server (Version 1.7.8) it displays correctly). On the Regional tab I have the language as “en_us” and on the client it is set to “English (United States)”. Any ideas what is causing this problem?

What web server are you using please?
There was a similar topic and server time settings were most likely responsible for the issue - Chinese Letters using Text & Clock Module (v.1.7.8)

as for the CMS regional settings, you might want to use ‘en_GB’ in language.

Also are you using clock or text module?

We are using Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. As for the region settings, “en_GB” was the initial setting, I tried “en_US”, “en_”USA” and “US” but nothing seemed to fix the problem. I am using the clock module.

After changing the region back to “en_GB” it seems to be working now. I guess while making changes to the layout, I forgot when the region was changed… Thank you for your help.
