We would like to preview the layout in a popup instead of opening in a new tab.
I created a custom theme with just layout-designer-page.twig view file and config file. But could not succeed. Any help?

You probably should be able to do that with javascript/jQuery onclick function linked to the Preview button.
What have you done so far?
