Blacklist - used or not?

Hiya,

Is the blacklist table or functionality used anywhere at this point?

  • If not, can you see any harm in using the table for our own purposes, or is it expected to be used in a later release?
  • If so, is there any documentation about how each of the columns is expected to be used (beyond the obvious - ex. “required” values, etc.)?

Its not used at present, but maybe used in the future. The intention is that it can be a mechanism for the Display to report unplayable files back to the CMS so that they:

  • Can be adjusted by an admin
  • Are removed from the Players rotation (so they don’t just sit there and fail)

I’d recommend creating a dataset for your own purposes - or using a completely custom table that Xibo knows nothing about.
