Basic games on Xibo

As well as standard Dooh, we also offer experiential campaigns. One of the most popular is spin to win. Historically this has been a wheel nailed to a board with win/lose option.
I decided to have a go with making a digital version using Xibo.
So i found this website (www.pickerwheel.com) that allows you to customise a wheel, and it also gives you an iframe to embed.
We create an image, with a space for the wheel and set this as the background. Using the embed widget, copy and paste the iframe into HTML field.

I have google remote desktop installed on windows, and a mobile device with with google remote desktop so i can connect and control the wheel.

Boom, happy customers :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

Very Nice!
What type of player you use to display in that mobile screen like that?

We bought the displays with a windows device pre installed. It looks like they’ve butchered a laptop and used the board to me. I have replaced the PC with DSCS9X as they’ve died. The last batch of displays we bought were pre installed with a RPI4. I’d have loved to used XIBO Linux, but instead I installed android onto the PI. It runs XIBO with no problems. I use the windows machines for spin to win because I still haven’t managed to get android to run at a 5:4 resolution.

Why wouldn’t you just use like a wireless mouse on them instead of the elaborate RDP setup?

Because its touch, you don’t see the mouse pointer on display. It just looks a bit more professional. It’s also easier to present the customer with a screen that requires just a single tap to spin the wheel. There is a bluetooth keyboard/mouse connected as a backup.

Basic games on platforms like Xibo are a fun way to stay entertained, but if you’re looking for something more engaging, the betbull sign up offer is worth checking out. It adds a layer of excitement with its welcome perks. Modern gaming is all about blending creativity with rewards, and platforms like these are redefining the way we experience games. What’s your go-to online activity during downtime?

That’s a clever way to modernize the classic spin to win concept! Using Xibo and an embedded iframe makes it way more flexible than a physical wheel, plus it’s easier to update and customize.

I imagine this could work well for interactive displays in retail spaces or events where engagement is key.

And btw, you might explore adding sound effects or animations triggered when the wheel lands on a result—it could make the interaction feel even more immersive. Also, much like tweaking a digital campaign, fine-tuning gameplay settings can give you an edge, just like Apex cheats with ESP, aimbot, and customizable features can help refine strategies in Apex Legends. Have you tested it in a live setting yet?
