Is there currently a way to add media to “All” layouts ? Or possible in 1.8 ?
Upload Media > “Check Box” or something and the system adds that media to all layouts.

No, there is no option like that.
How would you see it works? Assign lets say 1 image to all layouts, where? to which region? all of them or some of them?
currently i have 1 region per layout ( Full screen ) …
i would like to be able to upload an image / video, and the system auto add that image/video to all layouts.
or when you go to “ Auto Add “
it lists layouts & available regions - then you select with a check box or something …
just an idea …
