Advice for Layout Usage

We have been running Xibo for about 5 years through self hosting. We are on 1.7.10 of the CMS software but are in the process of moving it to the cloud and upgrading to the latest version.

We have approximately 50 locations and we sell ads into these locations. Some ads are specific to a particular location while others may cover 5, 10, or any number of locations including every location. Originally, I created a layout for each location and updated the ads appropriately to the location or locations as was needed. This was not so difficult when there were only 20 locations but at 50 this can become quite a task when you have an ad that has to be placed in all the layouts.

I’m looking for suggestions as to how to handle this in a more efficient way than what we are currently doing realizing we will be on the latest version in about a month.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
