Fresh install works fine. After add a Content Manager user any dynamic playlist stuck forewer for recalculate time. There is one fix that: reinstall. If I remove user, dynamic playlists still stuck… Only fresh reinstall or restore from backup help me.
Hi, after waiting a short while and then refreshing I can see an updated duration for a dynamic playlist on my 3.0.7 CMS so I would need further details as to how you have set your dynamic playlists in order to try and troubleshoot this for you.
When you have created the Playlist and ticked for it to be managed Dynamically, what criteria have you set on the Filter tab to populate media?
Dear natasha, I have reinstall xibo for many time v 3.0.7 and I see the same problem. There is no difference beetwen lxc or VM - problem again and again.
That is a clean install works fine I add a regular user delete it and problem here now.
I try to remove any media, switch to english lang and create a new playlist with no succeess. Reboot doesn’t help me too. There is no any error message in debug level too. Can’t use xibo because of this bug. I suppose that is relative with my need to have more user than super user in CMS.

What happens if you manually run the regular maintenance task? Does that update the playlist duration or does it remain undefined?
Could you try and further explain what steps you are taking so we can try and recreate? You mention adding a user and then deleting?
It is possible to have more than one Super User for the CMS, although that can lead to issues with having multiple users having full control over the entire CMS. You can however create and modify user groups to have the required level of access to the CMS to suit your use case and use in conjunction with options on Folders/User Objects to control the level of interaction for users using Features and Sharing

Please explain me how to run regular maintenance task? I have enabled debug and I see run update playlist process every minute with no error. If I reboot server that is not help - I see playlist with clock icon. If I create a new dynamic playlist and add file with tag it stuck too… There is no help with it.
There is no exacly step to reproduce it. I just setup, run instance. After that I create user, sometime it works ok, sometime it is broke my playlist. If I delete user playlist still broke. Sometimes works fine but when I add https support or may be change Time zone - It just broke. Only fresh install fix that. There is no explain what is wrong.
Can I send you VirtualBox image with broke xibo install? I will install fresh xibo play with it, broke it, export it and send an image to you with password and so on, there is no secrets.
It is VERY STRANGE bug… I have seen it about 10 times.

I have been trying to replicate the issue you mention in your post but so far I have had no luck. In your previous messages you mentioned that you create a content manager user then then the dynamic playlist is stuck forever recalculating the duration of the playlist. Then in a follow up message you mention that you add a regular user, then delete it and the issue also occurs. Please can you confirm the following:
Does the issue occur if you do not create a user or is that a requirement to replicate the issue?
When you create the user are you making the playlist on that user account? If not which user account are you creating the playlist on?
If you go to the Tasks menu in your CMS, run the regular maintenance task then wait for the last run date to update, what do you see when you highlight the tick in the last status column for that task? Does the duration of your playlist update? This is a screenshot of the task and what the status looks like when you highlight the last status tick:
If you create a layout and add a sub playlist widget to it, then select your playlist, what is the duration of the widget? Is it correct?
