Do player releases need to coincide with server versions? i.e. the latest Windows player client is 1.8.3 https://github.com/xibosignage/xibo-dotnetclient/releases
Usually that was the case, however 1.8.4/1.8.5 did not come with any changes to the Windows players, therefore current newest windows player version is as you mentioned 1.8.3.
