1.8.1 Released

We are pleased to announce our 1st bug fix release for the 1.8 series of Xibo. The codename for this series is “Tempel”.

A new CMS and Windows Player are available with this release, with 45 resolved issues. We recommend that all users running 1.8 upgrade their CMS and Player to this release.

The release notes are available in the manual and the download is available on Github.

Upgrade instructions are linked in the release notes. Please do read these, especially if you’re running Docker on Windows.

I’ve also added an upgrade section to the 1.8.0 Docker on Ubuntu 16.04 guide here, to show you a worked example:

fixed the LONG standing text render bug and WOW it just works.
i am actually shaking i am so damn excited!!! GREAT JOB!!!
can’t tell you how happy i am right now! i’m gonna stay up all night and upgrade ALL my displays!

Thanks xibo Team! all is working fine after update! “layout-designer-page.twig” and “base.twig” is working now with “de” language while inserting images in layouts!!
