Xibo requires PHP 5.3.3 or higher

Howdy,

I’m trying to install in Windows 2012R2, IIS, PHP 7.1.1. I can’t really find anything definitive on which version of PHP is supported.

“Xibo requires PHP 5.3.3 or higher” and "PHP Version  PHP version 5.3.3 or later required. Detected 7.1.1 " means to me that 7.1.1 is supported. (Status gets a Check mark)

Where I am suck is the “MySQL support must be enabled in PHP.” I have PATH set. I have it set in php.ini. Not sure what else to check or do I need to downgrade PHP? (Probably have to wipe and reload server at this point.)

Thanks.

Sorry, we don’t support PHP7+ at the moment as some of the underlying libraries we use do not support it.

We have an outstanding issue (which will be resolved in 1.7.10) to update the requirements check to reflect this: https://github.com/xibosignage/xibo/issues/1044

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Any chance the documentation can get updated to specifically reflect the supported versions?

Thanks!

Yes, the updated instructions will be in the release notes for 1.7.10 and on the install page under the requirement checks.
