I’ve been looking for a reliable way to get BrightSign hardware playing nicely with Xibo without jumping through the usual hoops, and I just found a new software player that claims to do exactly that.
It looks like it runs natively on both Xibo. I’m about to set up a test environment to see how it handles caching and media transitions, but on paper, it looks like it solves a lot of the usual integration headaches.
Has anyone else here gotten their hands on this yet? I’m really curious to know if the playback performance holds up in a larger deployment before I dive too deep.

I think XiPlay make it very clear on their website, but just in case, we have no affiliation with them and haven’t spoken to them.
The biggest question I’d have for them as you explore is maintenance and future feature parity, particularly as the site is mostly AI generated (not saying that’s a bad thing).
We have been using some BrightSign players in almost all locations in our organization for digital signage purposes and I quietly introduced Xibo in some projects we are working on. The best part I found about this product that it delivers what it said it is. I tested it with BrightSign player of model XT1144 that is connected in employees canteen and it is capable of displaying assigned layouts without issues and more importantly we used HDMI-in (Live-in) feature in Xibo v3.3.12 (since XT1144 has HDMI-in port) and it worked as we used to display World Cup 2026 matches for our staff.
