Xibo installer new database loop

I installed version 1.7.5. I am trying to create a new database. After creating a new database and click on create, it starts all over again to the “Welcome to the Xibo Installer!” screen

Xibo uses a cookie to keep track of your progress through the installer. Perhaps something in your browser is preventing that from being set?

Also please be aware 1.7.5 is pretty old now. The current stable is 1.7.9

I have upgraded to the 1.7.9 version. Now I am still looping with the installer screen. I have also cleaned out my cache in my browser. I also tried going thru the command line in Ubuntu and that would also send me back to the beginning of the installation.

Perhaps your webserver is improperly configured for session storage? It’s a configuration option for PHP.

I had this problem and it was fixed by me reinstalling Ubuntu and selecting not to auto install the lamp stack.
