Xibo CMS 1.8.7 - player 1.8.3 - Update problem with recurring event

Changing the time in a repeating event is not performed on the player. I also tried it in the cloud and it does not work there either.

For example, Time changed from 12:00 to 13:00.

Best regards

Hubert

I’m not sure I follow, you changed the event as per your screenshots, the event is correctly saved with new start/end.

ie 1pm -6pm daily until 01.04.2018

sample of the schedule.xml for your player

schedule generated="2018-03-16 12:31:13" fitlerFrom="2018-03-16 12:00:00" fitlerTo="2018-03-18 12:00:00"
  layout file="8" fromdt="2018-03-16 13:00:00" todt="2018-03-16 18:00:00" scheduleid="5" priority="0">
    dependents>
      file>152.jpg</file>
      file>155.jpg</file>
    /dependents>
  /layout
   layout file="8" fromdt="2018-03-17 13:00:00" todt="2018-03-17 18:00:00" scheduleid="5" priority="0"
    dependents
      file>152.jpg</file
      file>155.jpg</file
    /dependents>
  /layout

That looks to be correct, I’d assume it is the same on the player or is it not?

From the player:

?xml version=“1.0”?
schedule generated=“2018-03-16 12:31:13” fitlerFrom="2018-03-16 12:00:00"
fitlerTo="2018-03-18 12:00:00"
layout file=“8” fromdt=“2018-03-16 13:00:00” todt="2018-03-16 18:00:00"
scheduleid=“5” priority="0"
dependents
file>152.jpg</file
file>155.jpg</file
/dependents
/layout
layout file=“8” fromdt=“2018-03-17 13:00:00” todt="2018-03-17 18:00:00"
scheduleid=“5” priority="0"
dependents

Have further researched. The above changes will never trigger XMR on our server. There is nothing to see in the debug window.

In your cloud the Collecton time is set to 15 minutes. Therefore, the change was not displayed until the next interval.

The problem, XMR is not triggered!

If changing from recurring event to normal event, XMR is triggered.

Are there any other users with this XMR problem?

That is strange, if it changes the schedule.xml on the player (and it seems that it does) then I’d expect player to show the layouts according to the schedule it has.

The schedule change inside the required files look ahead (which is 2 days by default) is triggering XMR as far as I can tell - since you have that schedule changed on the player it was sent from the CMS correctly.

When you change the schedule time, the schedule.xml should be updated (which you can track by having it open) and then player should adjust to that.

Could you test it again, check if schedule.xml is updated and look at the player status window to see if it has correct information there? (it should as it should be the same as in schedule.xml)
