Windows 2008 virtual server required specs? (Max 10 clients)

Anybody installed on this environment?

Looking to run this soon on a VMware virtual infra, windows 2008?

Not sure what to ask the infra team for when they spin up the Vserver.

im running a Xibo-Server on a Win7 Virtual Maschine in a VMware environment.
For me it is not necessary to run the CMS on a Server-OS.
What do you exactley want to know?

Here the spects from the Virtual Maschine:

2 CPU’S
2 GB of RAM
40GB Harddisk

The VM itself running on our Clusterserver with ESXI 5.5.

Thank you very much. It was really vitual hardware requirements that I was looking for. Which you have answered in line. Thanks!

Interesting about not needing a server os to run on. I’ll talk to the infra team about it and see what they think. To be honest the more lightweight the installation the better.

Do you store all the media files on the server temporarily as well? Or point the server to another shared storage elsewhere, just out of interest.

I don*t know about your systemenvironment, but i use Windows 7 and Xampp with Apache as a Webserver with MySQL an PHP.

Thats OK for me. So if you want to run a IIS, its better to use a Server-OS.

All my media files are on the virtual maschine and not on a shared storage. Works for me very well.
