If i leave Xibo running on a few TV’s at once using a display group 24/7, will it make Xibo run slower when i start to schedule things?
We generally only start to see performance issues with Xibo with tens of thousands of media items, displays or layouts, and 1.8.10 has some improvements designed to address most of those issues.
Assuming you’re running a few displays with moderate content I wouldn’t expect any significant slowdowns over time.
That said, naturally the more work you give the CMS to do the longer it will take to do those jobs. If you suddenly have 1000 Players, then the workload will significantly increase and you might have to look at getting more server resources to maintain performance. Make sense?
Okay, good to know. Thank you!
Hi Alex,
I am using 1.8.9 and i my finding if we add more displays and layouts my page load time increases for display page etc. have you done some improvement for this in 1.8.10. I mean is it worth moving from 1.8.9 to 1.8.10
Thanks

You should upgrade to 1.8.11. We’re constantly making changes in that area.
Hi Alex,
I have upgraded from 1.8.9 to 1.8.11. But still i see that page load time for some of the pages is very slow. e.g. for display page with 100 displays it is taking 1.4 seconds on local internet. as per my web knowledge it is slow I guess. Is that what is expected.

Also I found that for each URL request xibo loads full routes and routes-web which takes around 240 ms. and I found that in slim 3 they have introduced router caching. but xibo is using slim2. can i cache router table in xibo also or can i do conditional loading of routing.
