I’m posting this as a preemptive move, for any eventual future questions i have which relate to different versions…
How do i find out which versions i am using of different components? I’m guessing people on this forum would like to know that if they want to help with specific issues.
The Xibo player and the CMS itself for instance.
Follow up on that: can any of this infomation be picked up in environment variables? If so, i could make a default layout for a screen that says something like
“You are watching the default layout for Xibo player version $playerVersion on screen $screenName using CMS $CMSVersion”
Somewhat related: i see people mentioning fonts.css in many support questions - is this a clientside or server side file, and do i need to work with it for normal layouts? I’ve been having fonts that didn’t show up in the Windows player but i got the impression that it was a copyright issue - certain fonts worked, certain didnt.
